5/19/2023 0 Comments Fantasy Sports No. 1 by Sam Bosma![]() ![]() ![]() Plus, that big #1 on the cover implies more, let alone the title change from “Basketball” to “Sports,” so this is very exciting for fans of the comic (and if you’re not a fan yet, it’s easy to become one).Ģ014 was a great year for Nobrow, and a great year for me as a fan of Nobrow thanks to being able to pick up things like the latest “Hilda” book, “(In a Sense) Lost and Found,” “New Ghost,” “Adventures of a Japanese Businessman” and “Forming” (the latter three of which should have reviews on this site soon). Given that the original comic was done as a mini, I can’t wait to see what the over-sized reprint looks like and how it affects Bosma’s work for the better. Probably the most noteworthy book of the bunch is “Fantasy Sports” by Sam Bosma, formerly the self-published 2014 Ignatz-winning “Fantasy Basketball.” Re-printed as an oversized full color comic with 16 extra pages, it’s a great comic that will find itself in a great many homes next year thanks to this Nobrow release. A mix of both one-shot minis and full graphic novels, the 2015 line-up for Nobrow is quite impressive. And today, Nobrow has provided us with a look at their line-up for 2015, including great looking books from Wren McDonald, William Exley, Jen Lee and Vince Mahé - and let me tell you, I’m excited. A London-based publishing company founded in 2008, Nobrow is the home of great unique, poetic and quite often subversive comics by folks like Luke Pearson, Jesse Moynihan and Blexbolex. ![]() ![]() Nobrow is a publisher I’ve recently become rather interested in. ![]()
